INJECTORS

There are only two options if your injectors are on their way to break your wallet. Either VDO/BMW or VITESCO.


There are people who installed Index 12 injectors in their N43/N53 engines and they claim it works well. However Index 12 injectors were built and developed for N54 Bi-Turbo engine which does not operate in stratified charge. They have higher flowrate and are not suited for use in other engines than N54. It is generally not recommended to use them in N43/53, they arent as precise in stratified mode – which is the only mode in which the DME creates Fuel Trims. – Ask yourself if you want to risk spending more money than is necessary as nothing is cheap with these cars.

FUN FACT: Siemens stopped producing new injectors in 2020, every injector after this date is refurbished!

Be careful to order the correct part code as f.e. A2C 606 407 4 777 is Index 12


Make sure to order new DECOUPLING ELEMENTS as they won’t come together with the new injector.

It is also highly recommended to order new INJECTOR BRACKETS after f.e. unclear service history / changing the injector after a longer period.

Make also sure to order new SCREWS, I would not risk reusing the old ones.

FUN FACT: MAKE SURE TO HAVE THE CORRECT ANGLE WHILE RESCREWING THEM BACK IN THE HEAD... Trust me.. Been there done that. Thread got damaged and injector jumped out mid-journey, resulting in breaking the high pressure fuel line - squirting petrol everywhere.
